⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute gem tucked away in Hobsonville! From the moment we walked into Amore Italiano Restaurant, we felt like part of the family. You can instantly tell it’s a family-owned business — warm, welcoming, and full of heart. It’s the kind of place where you’re not just a table number, you’re truly looked after. We started with the calamari on the grill and garlic pizza bread – and when I say 10/10, I mean it from the heart. The calamari was tender and full of flavour, and the garlic bread was perfectly crisp with that melt-in-your-mouth texture. It was the kind of start that makes you excited for what’s coming next. For mains, the beef mince tortellini was absolutely divine — tossed in a creamy white sauce with mushrooms, garlic, and a touch of olive oil, then finished with fresh rocket. Comfort food at its finest. I had the “Agnello” – NZ lamb cutlets with a rich red wine shallot sauce that was so good, I could’ve licked the plate clean. The lamb was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with seasonal vegetables. And then dessert… wow. The house-made profiteroles were light and creamy, covered in velvety chocolate. And the tiramisu? So fluffy, so balanced, and clearly made with love. Everything about our experience was top notch — the food, the vibe, the genuinely kind people. You don’t just eat here, you feel here. Can’t wait to come back.

Had a beautiful lunch here, food was divine. Everyone was very happy with their lasagna/pizza and my insalata de mare was gorgeous, seafood on it was warm. Friendly service too. Would recommend this restaurant

We had an incredible dining experience at Amore! The food was bursting with authentic Italian flavour, wine selection and cocktails were superb, perfectly complementing the meal. Abbey, who served us, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and full of genuine warmth, made our evening so enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back!

We ordered cannelloni, vegetarian soup, vegetariana pizza, tiramisu, and profiteroles—each dish was well-prepared and delicious. The flavors were comforting and authentic, especially the pizza which had a nice thin crust and generous toppings. The desserts were a sweet finish, with the tiramisu being rich and creamy, and the profiteroles light and satisfying. The place had a warm, cozy vibe that made the dining experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for a relaxed Italian meal.

Dont have any pics as we were too hungry, lol. We ordered the caprese which was a delightful and light starter. The mozzarella and balsamic vinegar were so well balanced. We also had the gluten free creamy mushroom pasta and the gluten free base prosciutto pizza. It was absolutely delicious!! Service and atmosphere was superb as well. Thank youu

To the owner, thank you for the good gesture to make my son’s birthday special. This is a good place to eat, nice ambiance and yummy food with reasonable price. Highly recommended! This place is well suited to all kind of occassions.

Came for lunch, good parking spot right outside. Our server was very polite and friendly. We ordered filetto, risotto e fungi, and tagliatelle bolognase. Nice big portions and absolutely tasty! Eye fillet was cooked as requested. For dessert we had cheesecake and profitroles which were nice. Very nice and clean restaurant and toilets, nice moody ambiance. Definitely will return.
